Samantha and Tyler have been spending a few days at Honey & Papa's house during their Spring Break. Ava is so excited to spend this much time with her "best friend." Lincoln and Tyler seem to be enjoying their time together also.
It's interesting to listen to, and watch, the girls play together. They entertain themselves without our help which is wonderful. We only hear from them when they're hungry or thirsty or if they want to tell us about a brilliant idea they had. They play "Teacher" a lot and Samantha is always the teacher and Ava is always the student. They also play "Family" where Samantha is always the mommy and Ava is always the baby. They played "Ball" for a while; Honey and I were informed that we were not allowed to attend the Ball unless we met three requirements: fancy shoes, fancy clothes and a sticker. Needless to say, we couldn't attend the Ball. They also pretended to be caterpillars, munching on leaves, waiting to turn into beautiful butterflies. But most of all, they pretended to be Carl (Ava) and Stacey (Samantha). I have no idea who Carl and Stacey really are, or if they exist at all, but wouldn't they be surprised to know that Ava and Samantha borrowed their identities for the past three days? They repeatedly referred to each other as Carl and Stacey.
Meet Carl & Stacey...
Carl and Stacey also think it's hysterical to talk about poop every chance they get. They can incorporate the word "poop" into just about any conversation. We spent much of the past three days trying to correct this poopy behavior with minimal success. "Stupid" is a bad word so they don't use it. They think they're mighty clever because they've created their own version of "stupid" which is "studio" and I'm certain they feel like rebels as they walk around saying "studio" under their breath.
Despite their rebellious behavior, they're still two of the sweetest and most intelligent little ladies.
