Park

It didn't rain AT ALL  yesterday!  What a treat!  Lincoln, Louis and I headed over to one of our neighborhood parks for a couple of hours to soak up some vitamin D and stretch our legs.  I've been battling a head/chest cold for over a week now and little man has an ear infection so we've been housebound for much too long.  We thoroughly enjoyed the fresh air :-)

The park has a spectacular view!  On a less cloudy day you can clearly see Mt. Rainier, too!

Lincoln posing with the Space Needle (see it?)...

Louis posing with the city backdrop...

 Look Mom!  No hands!

He loves a tire swing!

Of course we brought a ball and practiced throwing and catching...

He's so handsome...

Snap Shots

Just a random selection of photos from my iPhone...

Lincoln loves this stuffed dinosaur puppet at the library.  He always wants to "check it out" with his books and I always have to remind him that the dinosaur must stay at the library.  We visit Dino often and we even read books to him.

Oh yeah, this is good.  Lincoln has mastered the "pretty please with a cherry on top" facial expression:
(those are Cars gummy snacks)

Saying "Bye" to Daddy as he heads to work...

Enjoying a neighborhood stroll with Lincoln & Louis (not pictured)...

 Love the happy face :-)

Setting his crayons up like bowling pins, of course...

Pictures of my new trail...

I'm in love.

St. Patty's Day!

I think St. Patrick's Day might be my favorite holiday.  Makes sense considering I'm Irish.  That's a lie.  I'm not Irish, at all.  With that said, here's how we celebrated...

Crazy Leprechaun wrecked the house!  Notice the shiny "Leprechaun Trap" on the dining room table?

Apparently the mischievous Leprechaun had to take care of business while visiting...

At least the little stinker left us a tasty pot o' gold!

Making the Magical Leprechaun Powder (that Ava forbids me from tasting for fear that I'll turn into a frog)...

Corned Beef & Cabbage in the pot!
(I ate leftover eggplant)

Making Irish Brown Bread with this little crazy nugget...

The making of Rainbow Cupcakes...

TA-DA!
Chris said that he felt like he was eating a clown and I kind of have to agree.  Blimey.

After our delicious St. Patty's Day dinner, we went for a stroll around the neighborhood to get some fresh air...

My little leprechauns...

Lincoln

He's one-of-a-kind, alright...

Every morning, a different pair of shoes...

I was shopping for an umbrella and this is what he did to himself...

I find him in some strange places, too...

Birthday Dinner

Monday was Ava's actual birthday and we enjoyed a tasty meal at home together.  Of course, it was made extra special with some candles, music and dimly lit lights - per Ava's request.

Snapshots of everyone (except me) at Ava's birthday dinner...

After dinner and dessert Ava opened presents...

Space Needle Birthday Dinner

For the past six months Ava has been looking forward to her sixth birthday dinner at the Space Needle.  We celebrated her birthday at the Space Needle on Sunday night and it did not disappoint.  In fact, when she got off the bus this afternoon she asked if we could go back to the Space Needle for dinner tonight :-)

Ready and waiting to take his sister out for her birthday dinner...

At the Space Needle, waiting for our table...

Complimentary Space Needle photo...

 Can't beat that view!

 Her fancy birthday dessert...

After eating dinner and watching the sun set from the rotating restaurant, we headed up to the observation deck for a better view of our new city...

It was a great day of birthday celebrations for a great six-year-old!
