Here it is!
Chris slaved in this room ALL weekend. It's complete, for the most part. We have several finishing touches to add, such as re-arranging the clothes that she moved, by herself, from her old dresser to her new one and moving her books, toys, etc. We still need to hang some stuff on the walls. We also have a canopy to add in one corner - it'll be a great place for her to read books or "do puzzles" as she told me. The walls are pink, the curtains are hung and she has a new bedspread. One lamp is still missing a shade...minor detail! As soon as Target re-stocks she'll have another one.
Chris took these pics about 20 minutes ago. You'll notice her dripping wet hair - we had a super fast shower considering the fact that it was already 9:45 p.m. and she has to be awake at 6:30 a.m. She worked herself into a tizzy with all the excitement. She LOVES her new room. She couldn't stop jumping up and down and saying, "I like it, Daddy!" We can't believe just how much she likes it! She decided she wanted to sleep in her new bed tonight in her new room so that's where she is. She went down without a hitch. Now we're keeping our fingers crossed that she makes it through the night.
Chris is exhausted. Ava is thrilled. I'm relieved. Aspen is stressed.
HUGE thanks to my Mom (& Dad) for keeping Ava on Friday night and Saturday so we could get a jump start. We were truly pressed for time since Chris starts classes again this week. We couldn't have done it without their help.
