Finally! I got around to taking and posting pictures of the house we're renting in Seattle. It's still a work in progress but we really like it.
The housing/rental market out here is fierce, despite the economy. We feel pretty lucky to have scored this house in this neighborhood. We're about 1.5 hilly miles from our neighborhood village where there is everything you could possibly need like dog groomers, veterinarian, doctors, restaurants, banks, pre-schools, garden center, post office, hardware store, salon, etc. More importantly, we're about two blocks from Seattle's largest park. The neighborhood also has a community center, where I just signed the kids up for summer swim lessons, schools (public & private) and lots of play grounds. Perhaps my favorite thing about this neighborhood is the mountain and Puget Sound views. For example, I walked along the Puget Sound to the village this morning, with a friend for some coffee, and on our way there we watched an eagle soaring above the water with a beautiful mountain backdrop. Sigh.
Anyway, onto the pictures...
The front of the house, from the street.
We're still working on organizing the garage so we can park the cars in it.
Beautiful, mature landscaping all around the house!
The kids were excited to discover some roses (?) blossoming on this bush in the front yard on our way to the bus stop the other morning.
Side of the house and the patio where Courtney and I will drink margaritas infused with Blue Moon and watch all the overachievers run/walk/bike past...
Slate foyer (love!)...
Family room...
Another view of the family room...
Kitchen...
The office...
Master Bedroom...
Hallway...
Ava's room...
Basement...
(It's a crummy view - this will be the playroom for the kids. Chris is currently laying a floor down there so more pictures will come soon).
We can see the mountains from our patio!
View from the park down the street...
The kids hanging in the village...
Just another view driving around the neighborhood...
That's it!
