Chile, Scooter & Spring Break!

Ava's school recently hosted their annual World Culture Night for all the families.  While it was a little too crowded and chaotic, it was really neat to see what all the students had been working on and learning.  Ava's class studied Chile and for three weeks all we heard about from Ava was about Chile!  It was fun to finally get to see their transformed classroom and hear the song they'd been rehearsing for us.  Ava, on the other hand, was more interested in running around with her posse of girlfriends.  It was nice to see how she's fitting in so well :-)

A hallway transformed into a bat cave...

Ava posing with the white-browed black bird that she made from recycled materials for their Chilean class room...

One of Chile's volcanos that the class re-created (obviously)...

I forgot what this is called, but each student made one and they looked so cool!
I can't wait until Ava can bring hers home so we can display it.

Lincoln outgrew his three-wheeled scooter and the four-year-old boy at the bus stop rides in on his RAZOR scooter almost every day.  Needless to say, we felt it was time to upgrade to a big boy scooter complete with light-up wheels...

Ava gets in on the scooter action, too...

He's still busy as ever in the kitchen...

Ava is on Spring Break this week and I love having her all to myself again (can't wait for summer)!  We've been keeping busy with some projects and we've also enjoyed staying up late, sleeping in and staying in our jammies all day :-)

This is just too cute.  I mean, just too cute!

We made a Pinterest-inspired container Fairy Garden!
Ava is SO into it...
