Lincoln hasn’t been nursing well lately. He gets easily distracted. The doctor said it isn’t uncommon at this age because he’s interested in the world around him. He gets distracted by his own hand when eating, haha. It takes a little longer to feed him when he’s so “social” and the doctor recommended feeding him in a quiet place. That’s easier said than done with a 3-year-old running around.
We also talked about his lack of sleep during the day. The doctor gave us a couple suggestions to potentially help in that area as well so we’ll see what we can do. Pretty much sounds like he just isn’t a sleeper, although, he did just fall asleep on the floor next to me. He likes to make a liar out of me, I’m convinced! He’s probably still feeling the effects of the shots.
Overall, we’re pleased with his progress and good health.
He’s a quiet boy for the most part. He’s more of an observer. He doesn’t talk much, or often. He makes you work for a laugh. He is quick to dish out a dimple-filled smile though. He still prefers his thumb, or fist, to his pacifier. I can’t remember the last time we used a pacifier for him. He’s absolutely precious and so lovable. He communicates well through facial expressions and whining (when he’s upset). I still think he has the most gentle and kind eyes. I’m so curious to watch him grow and develop into his own person.

Side note: Ava was in a mood. Chris was getting her ready for bed and said to her, "go say goodnight to Mommy and Lincoln." At the end of the video you'll hear her enthusiastic "goodnight" and then she quickly walks away. How are we going to survive her pre-teen and teen years if we're already dealing with her moods at three years of age??
