Drawing

Linc loves to draw! Mostly, he draws faces and train tracks. His faces are starting to become recognizable (with ears) which is so exciting!

Ava has always enjoyed drawing and that hasn't changed a bit. Papa recently showed Ava a robin's nest in a tree near the Fairy Garden. Ava likes that the Mommy bird is always protecting her nest. This inspired her to draw the picture below. The bird at the bottom of the page is diving for a worm (she's so smart. Ava, not the bird).

Paella

Nothing brings family together like Paella!  

Remember this post?  Well, it inspired Auntie Maureen and Uncle Vinny to visit from NC.  They wanted the opportunity to try Paella (I don't blame them).  It gave the family a good reason to get together again and play!

Chalk Mom vs. Chalk Road

Linc is currently in a chalk phase. His mind revolves around chalk. He's content to spend the day in the garage doing chalk.

This morning he told me that he was drawing a picture of me!

How flattering!

The sweet boy was drawing a picture of his Mama.

I took a picture, naturally...

I'm beautiful, right?

So sweet.

So thoughtful.

So short lived.

Apparently my face makes a better race track...

Yeah.

He totally changed his mind and decided his drawing of ME was actually a "road."

Strawberries!

Today was Ava's very last pre-school field trip and they went strawberry picking. All parents and siblings were invited so Linc and I gladly tagged along. We even got to ride on the ferry boat! The weather was perfect. It was such a fun morning!

Well, that didn't last long...

...and it was so worth it!

She picked all of those strawberries herself!

Poor Linc, he has a love/hate relationship with ice cream...

He likes the idea of ice cream...

And he really wants to like ice cream...

...but he just can't bring himself to enjoy it!
