Go ahead and try to tell me that this first picture doesn't just make you happy...

Buzz Cut

Lincoln's hair grows as quickly as his Daddy's hair grows!  We can't keep up!  Last night we took a family trip to Supercuts to get the boys' heads buzzed.  Unfortunately, I don't have any before or after pictures of Chris - he looks good, trust me!

I took the "After" picture this morning.  He wasn't in the mood for a photo shoot.  He looks like such a big boy and I love to kiss his soft head.  Linc doesn't seem to mind his new style.  Last night Ava said to Lincoln, "You look like a real man now!"

Linc's blood test all came back normal.  Phew.

Now, what's wrong with him??

Still no word...

On Lincoln's blood tests.  Poor kid is still sick.  I think he caught what Ava had.  He's a mess today - snotty, sneezing, irritable, etc.  

I called the pedi's office today and they want to see him tomorrow for a follow-up.  Hopefully we'll know something by then.  In the meantime, lots of Cars and lots of snuggles...

Pizza and Peanut Butter Fudge Treats and Cousins and...and...and...

Friday night was Pizza & Beer night...

As mentioned in my last blog post, Sam & Tyler are visiting. The kids and I ran over to Honey & Papa's house Friday afternoon to let the fun times begin well before there was any pizza (or beer) involved.

The girls and I decided to make a dessert. We made Peanut Butter Fudge Treats. The girls were very helpful!

Of course, we had to take a Rice Krispie snack break.

Who doesn't listen to their Rice Krispie cereal before digging into it?

(Only Ava tried "communicating" back to the cereal...sigh...)

Neither my teeth nor my waistline are thanking me!

Stir Crazy

I came down with a mild case of cabin fever yesterday and Chris had class last night. Thankfully, Sam & Tyler are hanging with Honey & Papa for a couple days, my kids already had two doses of antibiotics and Honey made Chickpea Fritters for dinner! Those three instances, combined, offered enough reason to get out of the house and visit the Casa de Honey & Papa!

Obviously, Ava is feeling better...

Linc isn't feeling great but he was well enough to share Papa's office chair and computer for another round of "Cars" with T...

I've decided to pursue an undercover investigation of the fertilizers stored in Papa's shed, for obvious reasons...

Poor Louis. This is how he rolls when Ava gets a hold of him...

(Don't feel too bad for him. He retaliated this morning by pooping on her bed. Yeah.

Looks like I'll be washing sheets today.)

Good enough to blog about...

This is what we ate for dinner last night...

And it was good enough to blog about!  Chickpea Fritters with Tomato Jam and Roasted Asparagus.  Mmmm.  You can find the recipe here.

I guess it's similar to Felafel but I've never had that so these Chickpea cakes were very exciting to me.  They're bursting with the perfect amount of flavor.  Chris was a big fan of the tomato jam.  

We eat a lot of good food around here but something about this meal really got me going...dunno.  Simply delicious!
